Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2022

The winner of the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic earns the right to challenge for the NXT tagteam championship.

Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, first round matches:

1. NXT 2022-01-18: The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus) [w/Malcolm Bivens] def. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen
   Brutus performs a back body-drop on Briggs, alllowing Julius to get the pinfall.
2. Malik Blade & Edris Enofé def. Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza) [w/Santos Escobar]
   Santos Escobar trips Blade, but NXT champion Bron Breakker comes ringside taking him out. Blade uses the confusion to roll up Wilde for the pinfall.
3. NXT 2022-01-25: MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) def. Jacket Time (Kushida & Ikemen Jiro)
   Kushida locks the Hoverboard lock on Carter, but Carter runs him into the ring corner and tags in Lee, who takes Kushida down to get the pinfall victory.
4. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) def. Andre Chase & Bodhi Hayward
   GYV hits a double running knee on Haywayrd, allowing Drake to get the pinfall victory.

Semi-final matches:

1. NXT 2022-02-01: The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus) [w/Malcolm Bivens] def. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake)
   Brutus Creed hits an elbow on the already downed Gibson, to get the pinfall victory.
2. MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofé
   MSK double-teams Enofé, allowing Lee to get the pinfall victory over Enofé to advance to the finals for the second time.

Final:

1. NXT 2022-02-15: The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus) [w/Malcolm Bivens] def. MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee)
   Carter tries to perform a dive to the outside onto Julius Creed, but he is caught. Julius throws him back to the ring, hits an elbow and gets the pinfall victory.

Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2022

   Ray hits the KLR bomb on Legend and Shirai hits a moonsault from the ring ropes to get the pinfall.
2. Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro def. Tatum Paxley & Ivy Nile
   Catanzaro pins Paxley after a 450 splash.
3. NXT 2022-03-01: Wendy Choo & Dakota Kai & Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta
   Choo hits a splash on Pirotta and then Kai performs a double stomp from the ring ropes to get the pinfall.
4. Raquel González & Cora Jade def. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz
   González throws Jade on top of Feroz, allowing Jade to get the pinfall victory.

Semi-final matches:

1. NXT 2022-03-08: Wendy Choo & Dakota Kai def. Raquel González & Cora Jade
   Tagteam champions Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jane and Gigi Dolin) ran in, attacking González while the referee was distracted. Choo hits a splash on González and then Kai performs a double stomp from the ring ropes to get the pinfall.
2. Kay Lee Ray & Io Shirai def. Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro
   Ray hits a superkick on Catanzaro and follows up with the KLR bomb. Shirai hits a moonsault from the ring ropes to get the pinfall.

Final:

1. NXT 2022-03-22: Kay Lee Ray & Io Shirai def. Wendy Choo & Dakota Kai
   Shirai takes out Kai, but Choo plants Shirai to take over. Ray stops Choo, hitting the KLR bomb, however. Shirai follows up with a reverse moonsault from the top rope by to get the pinfall victory.

NXT Stand & Deliver

1. NXT North American championship, Ladder match: Cameron Grimes def. Santos Escobar [w/Elektra Lopez & Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza], Grayson Waller [w/Sanga], Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes (ch) [w/Trick Williams]
   With five superstars in the ring at the same time, and their minions on the outside, we got several ladders and men running them into each other. At one point, all five men are on ladders at the same time. They fall one by one until Waller is the last one standing, but Escobar makes it back up before he can grab the belt. Grimes takes out the opposition, to climb the ladder and claim the championship.
2. Tony D'Angelo [w/AJ Galante] def, Tommaso Ciampa
   D'Angelo takes out Ciampa with a boot to the head, to get the pinfall victory.
3. NXT tagteam championship, Triple threat match:
   MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) def. Imperium [Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel] (ch), The Creed Brothers (Brutus Creed & Julius Creed) [w/Ivy Nile & Malcolm Bivens]
   Carter pins Barthel after Lee sends Barthel flying from the top rope.
4. NXT Women's championship, Fatal four-way match:
   Mandy Rose (ch) def. Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, Cora Jade
   Ray locks Rose in a front face-lock, when Shiray has Jade in a Texas clover-leaf. Neither manages to get their opponent to tap out and have to relinquish their holds. Shirai hits a moonsault on Jade, but before she can go for the cover Rose comes in with a big boot, rolling up Shirai for the pinfall.
5. Gunther def. LA Knight
   Gunther pins Knight after a bodyslam.
6. NXT championship:
   Dolph Ziggler [w/Robert Roode] (ch) def. Bron Breakker
   Robert Roode is ejected from ringside by the referee, but returns. Breakker takes out both men. Ziggler hits the zig-zag on Breakker, but Breakker taps out. Ziggler sets up for the superkick, but Breakker comes back up. Ziggler reverses, and hits the superkick to retain the championship.

NXT In Your House

1. Tony D'Angelo & Stacks & Two Dimes def. Legado del Fantasma (Cruz del Toro & Joaquin Wilde & Santos Escobar) [w/Elektra Lopez]
   Stipulation: Losing team is employed by the winning team. Lopez passes brass knuckles to Escobar, while Lorenzo brings a crowbar. Wilde takes it off his hands and takes out Stacks with it. D'Angelo, meanwhile, takes the knucks from Escobar and knocks out Wilde. Two Dimes pushes the knocked out Stacks on top of the similarly knocked out Wilde, giving him a three-count for the victory.
2. NXT Women's tagteam championship:
   Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) (ch) def. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
   Carter rolls up Dolin but only gets a two-count. With the referee distracted, Jayne lands a fist in Carter's face, allowing Dolin to get the pinfall victory.
3. NXT North American championship: Carmelo Hayes [w/Trick Williams] def. Cameron Grimes (ch)
   Kayes runs Grimes into the corner, and when the referee forces him to break it, Williams ties Grimes' arm to the ring rope. Grimes hits the poisonrana on Hayes, and follows up by taking out both Hayes and Williams outside the ring. Grimes pushes Hayes back in, but is blocked by Williams, who causes enough of a distraction for Hayes to hit a leg drop from the top rope to get the pinfall victory.
4. NXT Women's championship:
   Mandy Rose (ch) def. Wendy Choo
   Choo puts Rose in a sleeper hold, but Rose manages to roll to the ring ropes to force Choo to break the hold. Rose hits a running knee, and rolls up Choo in a small package to get the pinfall to retain the championship.
5. NXT tagteam championship:
   Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus) def. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) (ch)
   Stipulation: If Creeds lose, they are out of Diamond Mine. Prince tries to throw the championship belt in to the ring for Wilson to use, but Brutus Creed grabs it instead. He hands it to the refere, but in the confusion, Wilson misses a run in, allowing the Creed brothers to take out Wilson instead. Brutus hits the shooting star press on Wilson to get the pinfall victory.
6. NXT championship:
   Bron Breakker (ch) def. Joe Gacy
   Stipulation: If disqualified, Bron will lose the NXT championship Gacy picks up a steel chair, throwing it to Breakker to get him to use it and get disqualified, but Breakker gives the chair to the referee. With the referee distracted, Gacy hits a low blow but is unable to get the pinfall. Breakker grabs the chair, attacking Gacy's entourage and hits a spear on Gacy. He then gets the pinfall after a powerbomb.

NXT Women's Breakout Tournament

The winner of the NXT breakout tournament gets a title shot at their choosing.

First round matches:

1. NXT 2022-05-10: Fallon Henley def. Sloane Jacobs
   Jacobs godes for theb ack body drop, but Henley reverses, hits a running kick and gets the pinfall victory.
2. Nikkita Lyons def. Arianna Grace
   Lyons hits a spinning back kick, to get the pinfall victory.
3. NXT 2022-05-17: Lash Legend def. Tatum Paxley
   Paxley tries to pick up Legend, but Legend reverses and hits a scissor kick to get the pinfall victory.
4. Roxanne Perez def. Kiana James
   James goes for a spear, but Perez counters into a roll-up to get the pinfall victory.

Semi-final matches:

1. NXT 2022-05-24: Roxanne Perez def. Lash Legend
   Legend picks up Perez for a power bomb, but Perez reverses it with a pop rocks to get the pinfall victory.
2. Tiffany Stratton def. Fallon Henley
   Nikkita Lyons was injured in training and could not compete and was replaced by Tiffany Stratton. Stratton pins Henley after a double boot and twisted slam from the ring ropes.

Final:

• NXT 2022-06-07: Roxanne Perez def. Tiffany Stratton
  Stratton goes for a moonsault from the top rope, but Perez rolls out of the way. Perez hits pop rocks on Stratton to get the pinfall victory.

NXT UK championship tournament 2022

A tournament was set up to crown a new NXT UK champion after Ilja Dragunov had to relinquish the championship due to injury. All matches were taped on 2022-07-07, the dates below are the air dates.

First round matches:

1. NXT UK 2022-08-11: Oliver Carter def. Charlie Dempsey
   Dempsey takes out Carter's left leg, and locks Carter in a single-leg crab. Carter refuses to tap out, and instead manages to roll up Dempsey for the pinfall.
2. Trent Seven def. Wolfgang
   Seven climbs the ring ropes for a superplex, but Wolfgang pushes him off and hits a Swanton. Seven gets the knees up, and picks him up, hitting the Birminghammer to get the pinfall victory.
3. NXT UK 2022-08-18: Joe Coffey def. Mark Andrews
   Andrews jumps from the top rope, but is denied by Coffey. Coffey goes for the Glasgow sendoff, followed by the All the Best for the Bells strike, allowing him to get the pinfall.
4. Tyler Bate def. Kenny Williams
   Bate hits a lariat and a Tyler Driver 97 to get the pinfall victory.

Second round matches:

1. NXT UK 2022-08-25: Trent Seven def. Oliver Carter (subm.)
   Seven locks Carter in a figure-four leglock. Carter tried to reach for the ropes, but is unable to. Carter and Seven exchange blows until Carter eventually has to tap out.
2. Tyler Bate def. Joe Coffey
   Coffey puts Bate in the sharpshooter, but Bate kicks out. Bate goes for the Tyler driver, but Coffey reverses it. As Coffey goes for a uppercut, Tyler reverses into a roll-up to get the pinfall.

Final:

• NXT UK 2022-09-01: Tyler Bate def. Trent Seven
  The former best friends and tagteam champions give it all. Seven repeatedly attacks Bate's left leg, but Bate eventually comes out on top, getting the pinfall after a third Tyler Driver 97.

Worlds Collide

1. NXT North American championship:
   Carmelo Hayes (ch) [w/Trick Williams] def. Ricochet
   Ricochet has Hayes down for the pinfall, when Trick tugs Hayes by the foot to place it beneath the ring ropes to break the count. Ricochet goes to the top rope, but Hayes rolls out of the way. Hayes rolls Ricochet up with an inside cradle to get the pinfall.
2. Fatal four-way, NXT & NXT UK tagteam championship unification match:
   Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) [w/Lash Legend] def. Creed Brothers (Brutus Creed & Julius Creed) (NXT ch) [w/Damon Kemp], Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) [w/Joe Coffey], Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs (NXT UK ch) [w/Fallon Henley]
   Order of elimination:
   1. Brooks Jenen & Josh Briggs (Briggs pinned by Coffey)
   2. Gallus (Wolfgang by Julius Creed)
   3. Creed Brothers (Julius Creed by Prince)
   The reigning NXT UK tagteam champions are the first eliminated, by their NXT UK rivals Gallus, who themselves are eliminated second. Julius Creed is about to pin Prince when Kemp turns on his team, hitting Julius with a steel chair. Prince gets the pinfall victory to become the unified tagteam champions.
3. NXT & NXT UK Women's championship unification match:
   Mandy Rose (NXT ch) def. Blair Davenport, Meiko Satomura (NXT UK ch)
   Davenport had just been named the number one contender for the NXT UK championship when it was decided the championships be united. Satomura sets up Davenport for a pinfall when Rose takes her out. Rose pins Davenport to win the match.
4. NXT Women's tagteam championship:
   Katana Chance & Kayden Carter (ch) def. Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H.
   Toxic Attraction runs in, allowing the champions to doubleteam Doudrop, with Chance getting the pinfall victory to retain the championships.
5. NXT & NXT UK championship unification match:
   Bron Breakker (NXT ch) def. Tyler Bate (NXT UK ch)
   Despite Bate dominating a large part of the match, hitting the Tyler Driver 97 and having several pinfall attempts, Breakker reverses into a simple spear to get an easy pinfall victory.

Halloween Havoc 2022

1. North American championship, Ladder match:
   Wes Lee def. Nathan Frazer, Oro Mensah, Von Wagner [w/Mr. Stone], Carmelo Hayes
   Wes Lee takes out his opponents and climbs the ladder to grab the championship belt.
2. Casket match:
   Apollo Crews def. Grayson Waller
   Crews and Waller fight it out on the top of the ring rope, when Waller thumbs Crews' eyes and throws him down, crashing into the casket. While the referee is thinking whether the match is over as the lid is technically not closed, the lights go out and Crews disappear, coming back in followed by a pack of druids carrying a new casket. Battling on the ring apron, Crews throws Waller into the new casket and closes the lid to get the victory.
3. Weapons Wild match:
   Roxanne Perez def. Cora Jade
   After Perez crashes Jade through a table from on top of the hosts' ramp. After dragging Jade back to the ring, Perez hits the pop rocks on Jade on top of a pile of steel chairs to get the pinfall.
4. Ambulance match:
   Julius Creed def. Damon Kemp
   Creed locks Kemp in a wheelchair using a crutch, driving the wheelchair straight into the ring steel steps. Creed bodyslams Kemp onto a stretcher and hits him with a steel chair, before carrying Kemp to the backstage ambulance to get the victory.
5. NXT Women's championship:
   Mandy Rose (ch) def. Alba Fyre
   Fyre hits Rose with a swanton, but Toxic Attraction comes ringside and drags the referee out of the ring mid-count. Fyre takes them out, but also takes out the referee, so when she gets Rose down for another pinfall attempt, there is no-one to count it. Fyre tries to wake the referee back, but is herself taken out by Toxic Attraction, allowing Rose to get the pinfall.
6. NXT championship, Triple threat:
   Bron Breakker (ch) def. Ilja Dragunov, JD McDonagh
   Breakker and Dragunov performs a double headbutt on McDonaugh, befor throwing him out of the ring. Dragunov hits the Torpedo Moscow on Breakker, and has Breakker down for a pinfall, when McDonagh comes in catching the refere's hand as it goes down. Eventually Breakker manages to hit a spear on Dragunov, getting the three-count.

NXT Deadline

1. Iron Survivor Challenge:
   Roxanne Perez (2) def. Zoey Stark (1), Cora Jade (1), Indi Hartwell (1), Kiana James (0)
   Most falls within 25 minutes win the match. Perez and Stark start out. James comes out third after five minutes, Starks scores the first fall on Perez, just before the ten minute mark when Jade enter. Jade rolls ups James for the second fall. At fifteen minutes, Hartwell joins the match as the final competitor, hitting a big boot and pinning Perez. Perez scores the next fall on Stark, followed by one on James, which is enough for the win.
2. Isla Dawn def. Alba Fyre
   Fyre hits a Swanton bomb from the top rope on Dawn, when the referee passes out from some kind of black liquid. A new referee comes in, but too late to count Fyre's pinfall. Dawn runs Fyre's head into an exposed rung post, to get the pinfall victory.
3. NXT tagteam championship:
   New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) def. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) (ch)
   New Day double-team Prince, allowing Woods to pin Prince for the pinfall victory.
4. Iron Survivor Challenge:
   Grayson Waller (3) def. Axiom (2), Joe Gacy (2), Carmelo Hayes (2), JD McDonagh (0)
   Most falls within 25 minutes win the match. JD McDonagh and Axiom start out. Axiom has McDonagh down, but fails to get a pinfall. Hayes enter third, Hayes DDTs McDonagh on top of Axiom to get the first pin. Waller enters fourth, perfoms a double DDT on Axiom and McDonagh and score two quick pins on them in succession. Waller tries a powerbomb on Axiom, but Axiom reverses to get a pinfall. Axiom then drops McDonagh with a superkick to get a second pinfall. Gacy joins the match as the final competitor, quickly forcing Axiom to tap out. Gacy hits a lariat o Hayes to get a second pinfall. Hayes locks Waller in a crossface to get a submission fall. With a few seconds left, Waller scores a pinfall on Axiom, getting him up to three falls, and then using the final few seconds to stop anyone else from scroting.
5. NXT championship:
   Bron Breakker (ch) def. Apollo Crews
   Breakker pins Crews after a spear.
